Saamies Wrestlers Dominate Klerksdorp Open with Podium Sweep
Klerksdorp – September 2025 — Laerskool Saamtrek is celebrating an exceptional wrestling achievement after 11 learners competed in the Klerksdorp Wrestling Open on 13 September 2025 — and every single participant claimed a podium finish in their respective age and weight divisions. The following wrestlers made their mark and making the school very proud. Results:
🥇 Gold – Pieter Strydom, Luka Gocev, GP Cordier, Bendré Pretorius, Luke Edwards, Zach Rivé
🥈 Silver – Aiden Wetdewich, Alex Rivé, Sion Hoffman
🥉 Bronze – Callum Wetdewich, Owen Wetdewich.
